Montana Yeti
The Montana Yeti Program is a competitive AA hockey program based in Helena, MT, overseen by the Helena Area Youth Hockey Association (HAYHA). Our mission is to strengthen Montana hockey by providing elite training and competitive opportunities, helping players elevate their skills and compete at a higher level.
This year, we will offer summer training camps and tournament teams for 10U, 12U AA, 14U AA, and 16U AA players. Our goal is to unite top players from all corners of Montana, providing them with the chance to enhance their skills, compete at a higher level, and foster a sense of sportsmanship and respect on and off the ice.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can my player try out for only the Summer Training Camp?
Yes. Please register your player and email mtyetihockey@hayha.org and we will let the coaches know they would not like to be considered for the rostered tournament team.
What if my player cannot attend tryouts?
We understand that conflicts arise whether it involves illness, injury, other sport commitments, or family obligations. Please register your player and email mtyetihockey@hayha.org, so we can notify the coaches of the absence. The player's tryout will be considered the first weekend of training camp.
Is there a payment plan option?
Yes. If your player is rostered, there is a payment plan option for the tournament portion of fees.
Can girls try out for the rostered tournament teams?
Yes, all of our teams are considered to be co-ed. We rostered three girls on our 2025-26 12U AA team and we had a number of female participants attend our 10U summer training camp.
Is it okay if my player misses a training weekend?
Yes. While we do encourage your player to make every effort to attend the training weekends, we understand that conflicts may arise. Please email mtyetihockey@hayha.org so we can notify the coaches of the absence for planning purposes.
Is there a deadline to register?
We would prefer that your player register by Wednesday, April 22, so we can prepare for the tryout weekend.
